W2C Explained: Links, Agents, and You
W2C means "Where to Cop." Understand how W2C links work, why they break, and how to use them with any shopping agent.
W2C stands for "Where to Cop" — a direct link to the product listing on Weidian, Taobao, or another Chinese marketplace. These links are the starting point of every agent order. Understanding how they work prevents the most common beginner frustration: broken or dead links.
Link Types and Their Lifespan
| Platform | Link Lifespan | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Weidian | 3-6 months | Most common for reps |
| Taobao | 6-12 months | Higher buyer protection |
| Tmall | 12+ months | Official stores |
| 1688 | Variable | Bulk wholesale |
Weidian links are the most common in our spreadsheet because the platform is seller-friendly and has lower fees. The tradeoff is shorter link lifespan. Always test a W2C link before sending it to your agent. If the page shows "Item not found," the listing has been removed.
Why Links Break
- Seller runs out of stock and delists instead of marking sold out.
- Platform removes the listing for policy reasons.
- Seller updates the product page, generating a new URL.
- Seasonal rotation — some sellers only list during hype windows.

Article FAQ
Yes. W2C links are platform URLs, not agent-specific. Any agent that supports Weidian or Taobao can process them.
Spreadsheet prices are updated manually and may lag behind seller price changes. The agent will charge the current live price. We update the sheet daily to minimize this gap.
Most Weidian and Taobao pages require a Chinese IP or account to view fully. Your agent handles all domestic browsing and purchasing on your behalf.
